Format Conversion
Converting between PDF, DOCX, HTML, TXT, and Markdown formats using Pandoc.
How Format Conversion Works
Your AI employee uses Pandoc, a powerful document conversion tool, to convert files between formats. Pandoc handles the complex work of translating formatting, structure, and content from one format to another. Supported conversions include PDF to DOCX, DOCX to PDF, Markdown to HTML, HTML to PDF, and many more. The conversion preserves as much formatting as technically possible given the differences between formats.
Common Conversions
The most common conversion requests are DOCX to PDF for finalizing documents, PDF to DOCX for editing received documents, Markdown to PDF for creating polished versions of drafted content, HTML to PDF for saving web content, and TXT to DOCX for adding formatting to plain text. Simply send the file and tell the AI which format you need. The converted file is generated and sent back within seconds.

Conversion Quality & Limitations
Format conversion quality depends on the source and target formats. Conversions between structurally similar formats (like Markdown to HTML) are nearly perfect. Conversions involving PDFs can be trickier because PDF is a presentation format rather than an editing format. Complex layouts, unusual fonts, and embedded graphics may not convert perfectly from PDF to editable formats. For best results, start with the most structured format available.
PDF to DOCX conversion works well for text-heavy documents but may struggle with complex layouts, tables, or specialized formatting. Review converted files before using them.
Batch Conversion
Need to convert multiple files at once? Send them to your AI employee and specify the target format. The AI will convert each file in sequence and send back all the converted files. This is useful when you need to standardize document formats across a project or prepare a set of documents for a specific platform.
