Airtable Integration

Listing, creating, and updating records in Airtable bases through your AI employee.

Overview

Airtable integration connects your AI employee to your Airtable bases, enabling it to list records, create new entries, and update existing data. Airtable's flexible database structure makes it popular for project management, CRM, inventory tracking, and content planning. Your AI employee can interact with all of these use cases through conversation, making Airtable management effortless.

ℹ️

What you'll need: your own Airtable account and a personal access token. Records are created and updated in your bases under your plan's permissions, so audit history, API usage quotas, and access controls all stay where your team already manages them.

Connecting Airtable

Connect Airtable by providing a personal access token with the appropriate scopes. During onboarding, your setup team configures the token to access specific bases and tables. The AI employee can then read and write data in those tables. Airtable's rich field types — including attachments, linked records, formulas, and rollups — are all supported.

ℹ️

Use a personal access token with scoped permissions rather than a full API key. This limits access to only the bases and tables your AI employee needs.

Working with Records

Your AI employee can list, search, create, and update records in any connected Airtable base. Use natural language to describe what you want — "show me all tasks due this week in the Project Tracker" or "add a new contact to the Leads base." The AI maps your request to the correct Airtable table and fields, handling the API interaction behind the scenes.

Updating an Airtable record

Modify data in Airtable.

You say:
In the Content Calendar base, mark the blog post "AI Trends 2026" as published and set the publish date to today.
Sarudo responds:
Updated in Airtable. Record "AI Trends 2026" in the Content Calendar base: Status changed to "Published," Publish Date set to April 14, 2026. The linked social media promotion records are still in "Draft" status — would you like me to update those too?

Combining with Automations

Airtable integration becomes even more powerful when combined with automation workflows. You can create n8n workflows that automatically sync data between Airtable and other systems, trigger actions based on Airtable record changes, or populate Airtable with data from emails, forms, or other sources. This creates a seamless data flow between your AI employee, Airtable, and your other business tools.
