Social Media Setup
How social posting works through Publer, the nine networks Sarudo can post to, and how to authorize your accounts.
Supported Platforms
Sarudo can post to nine networks: LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, and Google Business Profile. All posting is handled through Publer, a social media management platform that acts as the bridge between your AI employee and the networks themselves. Publer maintains the official API integrations for every platform, handles authentication and token refreshes, and publishes posts on your behalf. Your AI employee talks to Publer — not to LinkedIn, X, or Facebook directly — which keeps your setup simple and stable.
Publer is included with your Sarudo instance — you do not need a separate Publer subscription or API key. The integration is pre-configured and ready to use.
Why Publer (and not direct platform OAuth)?
Sarudo deliberately does not implement per-platform native OAuth for LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and the rest. A unified integration through Publer has three big advantages over nine separate native integrations. First, one credential covers every network — authorize Publer once, and Sarudo can post to all nine. Second, when a platform changes its API (which happens often on X and Meta properties), Publer absorbs the breakage and Sarudo keeps working. Third, every network has the same posting interface and the same scheduling model, so the AI can compose cross-platform campaigns without special-casing each one. If you need a network Publer does not support, you can still build a custom n8n workflow with a direct webhook — but for the standard networks, Publer is the recommended path and the one the AI employee uses by default.
Networks outside the supported nine (for example, Mastodon, Bluesky, or a private community platform) can be reached through a custom n8n workflow that POSTs to that platform's webhook directly. Ask your AI employee to set one up.
Connecting Your Social Accounts
Setup happens once, inside Publer's workspace. Your AI employee cannot authorize networks on your behalf — the OAuth handshakes have to be performed by you in a browser, while you are logged into each network. During onboarding, your setup team will walk you through signing in at [publer.com](https://publer.com) and connecting each of your social accounts through Publer's "Add Account" flow. For every network you connect, Publer stores the access token securely; Sarudo then calls Publer to post, and never sees the raw network credentials. Tokens can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the account from inside Publer — either selectively (one network) or completely (all networks).
You only connect the networks you actually want to post to. If you run LinkedIn and Instagram but not TikTok, skip TikTok — Sarudo will simply report that TikTok is not connected when you ask it to post there.
Some networks (notably Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, and Google Business Profile) require you to be an admin of the page or location. Personal Instagram accounts cannot be connected — Publer only supports Instagram Business and Creator accounts because that is what Instagram's posting API allows.
Platform-Specific Notes
Each network has its own character limits, media requirements, and content conventions. Your AI employee understands the differences and adapts content when you ask for platform-specific posts. LinkedIn favors professional, thoughtful content up to 3,000 characters. X has a 280-character limit (longer for premium users). Facebook supports long-form posts with rich media. Instagram focuses on visual content with captions; a photo or video is required. TikTok and YouTube are video-first — the AI can draft captions and descriptions, but the video itself has to come from you. Pinterest requires an image for every pin. Threads has a 500-character limit and supports image and video attachments. Google Business Profile posts are short-form updates, offers, or events tied to a specific business location.
For video-only networks (TikTok and YouTube), upload the video to Publer or provide a link to a hosted file, and the AI will draft the matching caption, hashtags, and title metadata for your approval.
Verifying Your Setup
After connecting your social accounts in Publer, verify the setup by asking your AI employee to list your connected accounts. It queries Publer in real time and reports the workspace, the networks connected inside it, and each network's posting status. If a connection has gone stale (Publer re-auth required, token expired, page permissions removed), the AI will flag it specifically so you know to go re-authorize that one account without touching the others.
